He enlisted in the Army, 2nd Canadian Signal Corps on February 1, 1942 and served in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany until his discharge on January 11, 1946. He received the following medals: Stars of France and Germany, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, King George, and the “Thank You Canada” Dutch Medal. After the war, he married and farmed in the Moosedale, SK area. Norman passed away on February 9, 1987. MacDONALD, Ronald WWII Ronald was born on January 18, 1917 in Humboldt, SK. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps on July 11, 1941 and served as a Dispatch Rider in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany until his discharge on March 9, 1946. After the war, he married and settled on land received thanks to the Veterans’ Land Act. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Arborfield Branch 203. Ronald passed away on January 12, 1990. MAKSEMIUK, John WWII John was born on July 13, 1923 in Sheho, SK. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on June 26, 1942 as an Air Frame Mechanic and served in Canada until his discharge on October 18, 1945. He married Bella Moroz on July 20, 1943 and they had two children. He was President of The Royal Canadian Legion Sheho Branch for one year and was a member of the same Branch for many years. John passed away on February 5, 1992.
