The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 299 LYSTER, Mack WWII Mack was born on March 7, 1919 in Millerdale, SK. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and served as a Radar Mechanic in Britain, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Corsica and France for four and a half years. Following the war, Mack farmed for a short time and later he owned and operated several retail stores in British Columbia. Mack passed away in 2007. MAAS, John Andrew WWII John was born in Sheho, SK. He enlisted in the Canadian Army Active in 1942 and served in Canada, Europe, Holland and Belgium. He was wounded in Bergonopzoon, Holland and was discharged on medical grounds in 1945 as Private. He was married and they had two daughters and a son. He worked as security for a while and was a volunteer at a Veterans’ Clinic. John passed away on December 22, 1991. MAAS, Louis Franciscus WWII Louis was born in Sheho, SK. He joined the Canadian Army in 1944 and served in Suffield, AB at an Experimental Station until his discharge in 1945 as Private. For a brief time, he farmed in Sheho, and then moved to Saskatoon, SK to work for the city. He married Rebecca and they had four children. Louis passed away in May 1990.
