The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 289 LISTER, Alfred WWI Alfred was born in 1894 in the electoral district of Whitwood, N.W.T. He enlisted in the Army during the First World War and served with the 31st Battery Canadian BEF in Canada, England, and Europe. Alfred passed away in 1949. LITTLE, James Gibson WWII James was born in 1922 in Handsworth, SK. He joined the Army in July 1940 in Regina and served with the 2nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Canadian Infantry Division as a Signalman and Radioman in England, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He took part in the invasion of Sicily and Mainland Italy and was discharged as a Sergeant and was back in Canada in the latter part of 1945. Jim joined the Moose Jaw City Police on May 11, 1950 and worked with them until retiring as a Staff Sergeant on July 31, 1983. James passed away in September 2007 in Moose Jaw, SK. LITTLE, Robert Stanley “Bob” WWI Bob was born on February 1, 1896 in Moncton, NB. He joined the Canadian Army during the First World War and served in Belgium and France. Bob passed away on December 30, 1980.
