He moved with his family in 1937 to homestead in Arborfield, SK. He married in 1941 after proving his homestead in 1940 and enlisted in the Army, RCACDA 13th Canadian Army Field Regiment as a Driver on April 20, 1942. He served in Canada, England, Belgium, Holland and Germany until his discharge on February 5, 1946. He received the following medals: Star of Germany, the Defence Medal, the King George, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Arborfield Branch 203. Ted passed away on September 9, 1993. LAMBSDOWN, Fred WWII Fred was born in 1911 in Tugaske, SK and moved to the Arborfield, SK area in 1938 with his brother. He enlisted in the Canadian Army Service Corps on April 20, 1942 and served as a Driver Mechanic in Canada, England, Sicily, Italy and Holland until his discharge on November 28, 1945. He received the following medals: Stars of France and Italy, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and the King George Medal. After the war he moved back to Tugaske where he was married. Fred is deceased. LANGIN, John “Jack” WWII John was born on April 15, 1916 in Carlton Place, ON. He served in the Canadian Infantry No. 1 Platoon “A” Coy. No 20 C.A. (B) T.C. in Brantford, ON from July 10, 1943 until 1946. He served in France, Italy and Belgium and was honourably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. He served his country with pride and honour, and like most combat Veterans, most of his stories remained unspoken and he very seldom shared what he considered the horrors of war. John passed away on May 8, 2003 in Regina, SK.
