A young woman at the start of the Second World War, she joined the Women’s Land Army which resulted in a life-long love of living in the countryside. She married Norman near the end of the war and went to Canada as a war bride to meet her in-laws while Norman remained in Europe. She was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Albert Branch 2. Gladys passed away in 2016. KERR, Cecil L. WWII Cecil was born in 1924 in Stoughton, SK. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and served aboard the HMCS Loch Alvie on the high seas until his discharge. Cecil passed away in 2004. KIMBER, Clement C. “Clem” WWII Clem was born on November 27, 1917 in Maple Creek, SK. He enlisted in the Army with the 1st Saskatchewan Horse Regiment in 1941 and served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He married Dolly McBee in 1948 and they raised seven children. Clem passed away in 1987.
