She moved with her parents in the fall of 1920 to homestead in the Arborfield, SK area. She enlisted in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps on June 11, 1943 and served as a Hairdresser in Canada until her discharge on June 13, 1944. Fern passed away in 1959. JORDAN, Frederick John WWII Frederick was born on July 14, 1916 in Griswold, MB. He enlisted in the Army on January 2, 1941 and went into active service in June 1941. He served in Italy, Sicily, Holland, Belgium, France and Great Britain until his discharge. He was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and the War Medal. After the war, he went home and bought his wife’s parents’ farm and he farmed there until 1966. Frederick passed away on December 18, 1993. JORDAN, Thomas Lawrence WWII Thomas was born on March 27, 1922 in Ernfold, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and trained in Mossbank and Regina, SK, Winnipeg, MB and Sidney, BC before going overseas in May 1943. He served in Canada, England and the North Sea but was killed in action on February 6, 1944 while flying over the North Sea.
