He enlisted in the Canadian Army during the Second World War and served in Vernon, BC. Arthur passed away in 1988. HUNDT, Howard Francis WWII Howard was born in 1918 in Sidewood, SK. He enlisted in the Canadian Army during Second World War and served in England, France and in Continental Europe until his discharge. He received a Dispatch for Distinguished Service Kings’ Order. Howard passed away in 1982. HURSH, Lester WWII Lester, born in 1921, was the youngest of eight children born to Eugene and Alice Marie Hursh of Macoun, SK. Lester attended Omega and Macoun schools. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and upon his return he married in 1946 and had a family of three boys. Lester was employed as a fuel and store manager and for a long time had a position with Federated Co-Op. Lester passed away in 1965 in Winnipeg, MB.
