The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 207 HAMILL, Ross Curtis WWII Ross was born on January 21, 1923 in Whitewood, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and after graduating as an Air Observer, went overseas to serve with the Bomber Command in England and Europe. He was killed in action with all but two of his crew while flying over Germany. Ross is buried in the British Military Cemetery in Neederwent, Holland. Hamill Lake in Northeast Saskatchewan is named after him. HANSEN, Otto Louis WWII Otto was born in 1919 in Denmark. He enlisted in the Canadian Army with the 15th FD Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, 4th Division and served in England, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. He was married to Jean Shaw in 1950, had five children, three boys and two girls, fifteen grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. He was a farmer all his life and spent the last few years farming with his two sons. Otto passed away in 2003. HANSON, Edward Roy WWII Edward enlisted in the Army with the 21st Field Battery RCA on September 19, 1939 and served in England, Canada and Continental Europe until his discharge with the rank of Gunner on October 23, 1945. After the war, he spent some time in Juneau, Alaska where he married Helen in 1950 and moved to Ontario in 1953. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Sulton, Ontario West Branch. Ed passed away on August 19, 1989.
