The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 195 GRAYSTON, Robert Beverley WWI Robert was born on February 5, 1897 in Penarth, Wales. He enlisted in the Army with the 1st Depot Battalion Saskatchewan Regiment and served in England and France. He was wounded and sent to England to recover and was to be sent back when the war ended. He was an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion Shellbrook Branch 111 until his passing in 1976. GREEN, Arthur WWI Arthur was born on October 17, 1896 in Briercliffe, England. He enlisted in the Army with the 214th Overseas Battalion in March 1916 along with his father Moses Green, brother-in-law Ted Biggs and cousin Harold Farrar, and trained at Sewell, Leslie and Camp Hughes. Arthur was a member of the Signaling Section and was killed in action in France. He is buried in the Maroc British Cemetery, Grenay, France, Plot 3, Row H, Grave 7. GREEN, Douglas WWII Douglas was born on August 12, 1917 in Shellbrook, SK. He joined the 44th Battery and 13th Field Regiment on May 13, 1941 and went to England where he served on guns until 1942, then went in for Artillery Signaler. He went through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. In Germany, he was burned while rescuing another soldier, and spent thirty-two days in a Belgium hospital. He went back to the front line until the war was over. He married Ellen Livingstone on May 20, 1943 and had two daughters: Eleanor and Jeanette. Douglas passed away in 1992.
