The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 189 GOOD, Lloyd Ross WWI Lloyd was born on October 5, 1896 in Leeds County, Ontario, and moved to Saskatchewan in 1907. He joined the Army during the First World War and served in France, but was killed in action on April 6, 1917 at Vimy Ridge, France. GOODFELLOW, Earl WWI Earl was born in 1898 in Wooler, Ontario and moved in 1907 to Ridgedale, Saskatchewan with his parents. He enlisted in the Army when the war broke out and served overseas. He was wounded twice and had to have his leg amputated six inches below the knee. He returned home in 1915, married Ethel McColl in 1920, moved to the Megan District to homestead and they raised three children. Earl passed away in 1951. GORNIAK, Peter WWII Peter was born on May 26, 1920 in Candice, SK. He was called to the Army on January 8, 1942. He served with the Regina Rifles in England, Canada and Continental Europe. He was stationed in Canada for three and a half years and in May 1945, he went overseas where he served from May to December. He was discharged from the service on February 4, 1946. He passed away on May 26, 2005.
