The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 157 DUTTON, Ivy WWII Ivy was born in 1921 in England and moved to Canada with her family to the Addington District in 1923. She enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on February 24, 1941. She served in Canada until her discharge on November 20, 1945. She married Pete Dyck, raised a family and joined the Ladies’ Auxiliary as well as The Royal Canadian Legion Arborfield Branch 203. Ivy passed away in 1992. DYCK, Peter WWII Peter was born on June 17, 1920 in Aberdeen, SK. He moved to the Arborfield, SK area with his family in 1931. He enlisted in the 1st Canadian Armored Corps on July 16, 1941, was transferred to Ordinance Corps and served in Canada, England, Italy, France, Belgium and Holland until his discharge. He received the following medals: Stars of Italy, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, King George and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He joined The Royal Canadian Legion Arborfield Branch 203 on September 12, 1960. Peter passed away on July 26, 1981. EAGLES, William “Willie” Willie is the son of George and Bess Eagles. He enlisted in the Army and while he was overseas, he met and married Dora and they had their first child, Victor. At war’s end, Willie returned to the farm, followed later by Dora and his son. Willie was living in Macoun, SK in 2009.
