Each year, Remembrance Day is celebrated across Canada to pay tribute to the men and women who have served our country. For Veterans, it is a day to remember and pay homage to those who did not return home from conflicts around the globe, comrades who gave their lives in support of the ideals of freedom, democracy and the right to live in peace. Wearing a poppy and attending Nov. 11th services is a small but important way to show respect and support for veterans who have served in countries where freedom can be elusive and enemies are hard to distinguish from friends.
