The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 141 DAGG, Stan WWII Stan was born in 1917. He went with his family to the Arborfield, SK area in 1933. He enlisted in the RCA on July 20, 1940 and served in Canada, England, France, Belgium and Germany until his discharge on January 3, 1946. Stan passed away in 1986. DALEY, Michael Gerald WWII Michael was born on November 24, 1923 in Allan, SK. He joined the Army in 1944 and trained in Dundurn and Gimli, MB until his discharge in 1946. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Big River Branch 136 for fifty-two years. Michael passed away on June 25, 1995 and is buried in the Big River Cemetery. DARLING, Roland Waldemar WWII, KOREAN WAR & PEACETIME Roland was born on the family farm in 1920 in Stone, SK. He joined the Army in 1941 in Regina, SK and served with the Lord Strathcona Regiment in Canada, Britain and Northwest Europe until his discharge in 1945. He re-enlisted in the Army in 1947 and served until his retirement in 1964. He married Bona Beatty in 1948 and they were blessed with eight children. He was awarded the following medals: the France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, Korea Medal, UNEF Medal and Canadian Services Medal. Roland passed away in 1982.
