The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 139 CURRANS, Thomas WWI Thomas moved to Elstow, SK from County Down, Ireland. He enlisted in the Canadian Army on March 20, 1916 and served with the 183rd Battalion until his discharge. He received soldiers’ grant land on March 14, 1918 in the Arborfield area in Saskatchewan, and married his wife Alice in 1929. He was a member of the Arborfield Branch 203 of the British Empire Service League and an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion Arborfield Branch before he passed away on January 7, 1961. D’AOUST, Lambert WWII Lambert was born on August 27, 1920 in zenon Park, SK. He enlisted in the RCA on May 19, 1941 and served in Canada, England, North Africa, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany until his discharge on December 8, 1945. Lambert passed away in 1963 in Toronto, ON. DACIW, Wasyl WWI Wasyl was born in Insinger, SK and attended Wolkowitz School. He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force on May 28, 1918 and served for three months with the 1st Depot Battalion Saksatchewan Regiment and the 12th Battalion Canadian Garrison Regiment until his discharge on August 23, 1918 with the rank of Private. After his service, he married Mary zatwarniski and they raised five children. Wasyl is deceased and is buried in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
