The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 117 BROWN, Edward William “Ted” WWII Ted was born in 1910 in Wymondham, England. He came to Canada in 1912 with his family and settled in the Yorkton area and then Tisdale in Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1943, where he filled the position of Tail Gunner in England and Europe until he was honourably discharged in 1946. He received the 1939-1945 Star, Air Gunnerʼs Badge, France and Germany Victory, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Snowden Branch 205 for fifty-nine years. Ted passed away on March 2, 2003. BROWN, Julius VIETNAM WAR Julius was born in South Carolina, USA in 1956. He entered the military in 1974 during the Vietnam War and served in the Pacific Theatre primarily in Korea and Japan with the Security Forces. He was also stationed at several US locations. He currently lives in Saskatchewan with his wife who is Canadian. BROWN, Norman Clifford WWII Norman was born on October 3, 1921 in Edmonton, AB. He enlisted in the Army on April 28, 1942, received his training in Canada and left for overseas on December 12, 1942. While abroad he was stationed in England, serving in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany as a driver for the Signm. Division until he returned to Canada on December 27, 1945. He received the following medals: Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945 and the 1939-1945 Star. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for forty-five years. Norman passed away on December 3, 1996.
