The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 105 BORIS, Orval Louis WWII Orval was born in section 28-11-6 of the Springfield Municipality, Manitoba in 1914. He enlisted in the Army and served with RCOC Corps #12 in England during the Second World War. Orval was a member of Oxbow Legion Branch 187, Kerrobert Legion Branch 88, Loreburn-Elbow Legion Branch 251 and Davidson Legion Branch 51. He passed away in 1978. BOULANGER, Roger WWII Roger was born in Melfort, SK in 1924. He was a farmer before he enlisted into the Army in 1942. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Continental Europe during the Second World War. He was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, and the War Medal 1939-1945. Roger returned home to St. Brieux after the war and became an apprentice mechanic. He married in 1948 and had seven children. Roger was a member of Wishart Legion Branch 305 for twenty years. He died of war injuries, both physical and mental, in 1970. BOWERS, John “Jack” Jack was the son of John Dubois Bowers and Jessie (Penny) Bowers and one of five children born to the couple. The Bowers farm was northeast of Macoun, SK in the Bryant district. Jack was a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force for about twenty years and then operated an air training service in Calgary. He married Helen Turner and had two children. Jack passed away in 1975.
