The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 95 COLLINS, Clarence Burns WWII Clarence was born on July 10, 1919 near Tyner, SK. He joined the Army on November 18, 1941 at Regina at the age of eighteen with his twin brother Bob. After basic training, he was sent to Kingston, ON where he took a trade test and received his certificate in carpentry. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Mediterranean during the Second World War until his discharge in 1946. Clarence passed away on April 17, 1988. COLLISON, Chester WWII Chester was born on December 25, 1919 in Star City, SK. He moved with his parents to the Berkley area in 1929. He farmed in the Arborfield area before joining the Army. He enlisted with the 19th Field Regiment during the Second World War on June 17, 1942. He transferred to the 13th Field Regiment and served as a Driver in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany until his discharge in 1946. He married an English war bride and continued to farm. He was a member of the Arborfield Legion Branch. Chester passed away on June 10, 2001. CONAT, Harold WWII Harold moved with his parents to the Arborfield area in 1929. He enlisted with the Army on April 6, 1940. He served with the 3rd Field Regiment in Canada, England, Africa, Sicily, Italy, and Holland until his discharge on November 19, 1945. After the war he was married and moved to Burn’s Lake, BC. Harold is deceased.
