The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 93 COLDWELL (HOLMES), Betty May WWII Betty was born on September 23, 1921 in Bromhead, SK. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on May 21, 1942. She worked in the Aeronautical Engineering Division. She was discharged from the Royal Canadian Air Force on November 12, 1945. She received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the 1939-45 War Medal for her service. She married James on December 1, 1945. She was a member of the Legion Branch 306 for over thirtyfive years. Betty passed away on March 23, 2002. COLDWELL, James William WWII James was born on August 19, 1914 in Mastin Moore, Derbyshire, England. He came to Canada in 1928 with his family. He enlisted with the South Saskatchewan Regiment on March 27, 1940 where he started his training and some more training in Camp Shilo in Manitoba. He served in Canada, England, and France during the Second World War. He received the following medals: 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. He was a member of the Legion Branch 306 for over forty years. James passed away on September 19, 1999. COLEVILLE, William R. “Bill” WWI Bill was born in 1901 in Thorah, ON. He joined the Army during the First World War. Bill passed away in 1946.
