He joined the #125 Squadron 76 Wing British Advanced Air Striking Force of the Royal Air Force and served in England and in France during the Second World War. He led a flight of five Battles from which only one returned. He and his crew were among the missing and became prisoners of war. He was a member of the Semans Legion Branch 108 before he passed away in 1997. CLANCY, Gordon Stuart WWI Gordon was born in 1882 in Newburgh, ON. In December of 1914, Doctor Clancy joined the Royal Army Medical Corp. He served with various infantry regiments in France as a Medical Officer, the first being the Kings Liverpool Regiment. In 1916, he was gassed at the front and hospitalized back in England. When he recovered, he returned to France and served there until the end of the First World War. On November 7, 1917, Captain Gordon Clancy was mentioned in dispatches for gallant and distinguished service in the field by Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig. It was signed in 1919 by Winston Churchill who was Secretary of State for War. He was a Charter Member of the Semans Legion Branch 108. Doctor Clancy passed away in 1966. CLANCY, James Paul Ivan WWII James was born in 1914 in Semans, SK. He joined the Army in 1940 and served during the Second World War in Canada, the United Kingdom and in Northwestern Europe with the 21st Army Corp in an R.C.A.S.C. ammunition supply column. He was discharged in 1945 as a 1st Lieutenant. He was a member of the Semans Legion Branch 108 before he passed away in 1997.
