The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 83 CHASE, Orval WWII Orval was born in 1923 in Senlac, SK. He moved with his parents to the Moosedale area in 1937. He enlisted with the R.C.N.V.R. on June 23, 1943. He served aboard HMCS Baddeck and Loch Alvie until his discharge on October 23, 1945. When the Second World War was over, he married and went into construction work in Saskatoon. He retired to Port Albernie, BC. Orval is deceased. CHATFIELD, Oliver WWII Oliver was born in October of 1918 in Youngtown, AB. He moved with his parents to Arborfield, SK in 1930. He enlisted with the Army during the Second World War on January 16, 1942. He served with the Kings Own Rifles as a Driver Mechanic in Canada until his discharge in 1946. After the war, he married and farmed in the Arborfield area. Oliver passed away on April 12, 1988. CHRISTENSON, Christopher John WWII Christopher was born on March 12, 1921 in Hart, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers and served with the Canadian Mechanical Co. as a SPR in Canada and Continental Europe during the Second World War. He received the following awards for his service: France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the American Bronze Star for heroic achievement as he was wounded in action. Christopher passed away on May 4, 2004.
