The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 79 CARSON, Victor Harold WWI Victor was born in 1896 in Whitewood, SK. He enlisted with the Canadian Army during the First World War on June 16, 1918 at the Regina Recruiting Center and was assigned to the 1st Depot Battalion Saskatchewan Regiment. He served in Canada as a guard at a POW Camp in southern Saskatchewan and Alberta until his discharge on January 22, 1919. Victor passed away in 1966. CARSWELL, Jim WWI Jim was from Hamilton, ON. He worked in Alberta before he enlisted with the Army when the First World War broke out. He went to the Arborfield area in 1921 to homestead. His wife Susie joined him in 1923 and they raised a family of three children. Jim passed away in 1968. CARVER, Arthur WWII Arthur was born on July 5, 1918 in Craik, SK. He moved to Arborfield, SK in 1929 with his family. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps during the Second World War on October 22, 1940. He served as a Driver Mechanic in Canada, England, Sicily, and Italy until his discharge on November 12, 1945. He was married in England and came home to farm near Arborfield. He was a member of the Arborfield Legion Branch 203. Arthur passed away on July 4, 1995.
