The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 71 BRULE, Urbain Joseph WWII Urbain was born on July 19, 1920 in St Marthe, SK. He was called into the Army during the Second World War. He spent four years serving his country and had been stationed in Regina where he got his training. He was also stationed in Prince Rupert, BC with 110 Heavy Artillery, then to Victoria, BC with the same unit. He was transferred to Camp Shilo, and then to Field Artillery. He was then transferred to North Bay and Chatham, ON where he guarded POWs until his discharge in 1946. Urbain passed away in 1997. BURDETT, Albert WWI Albert was born on January 2, 1896 in Byrtle, MB. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy during the First World War and served in France. After his discharge, he returned to his homestead north of Belbutte, SK where he farmed. He married Marjorie Stokes and they raised four children: Frank, Stanley, Ernie and Wilma. Albert passed away on March 2, 1961. BURROWS, Hedley WWI Hedley was born in 1883 in Brookfield, NS. He traveled to the USA and was married there in 1907. He moved to Truro, NS in 1912. He enlisted with the Army when the First World War broke out and heserved overseas with the Colonel John Stanfield’s Battalion, primarily in France until his discharge in 1919 with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Arborfield Legion Branch 203. Hedley passed away in 1967.
