He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion. He was married in 1933 and moved to Arborfield in 1937. Rene passed away on September 30, 1969. BOYAS, Steve John NATO Steve was born in 1948 in Spiritwood, SK. He served in Europe for ten years and at several different bases in Canada for nineteen years. In Europe, he was deployed as part of NATO. He served for twenty-nine years in the Army in Canada and Europe. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 182 for ten years. Steve passed away in 2004. BOYLE, Gerald Edward WWI Gerald was born in 1899 in Guelph, ON to James and Jane Boyle. His parents moved to Regina, SK in 1917. He served as a Private with the Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment) 5th Battalion during the First World War. He was killed in action on March 14, 1918 at just 19 years of age - he is amongst the Commonwealth War Dead. He is interred in Plot IG8 in the Houchin British Cemetery in Pas de Calais, France.
