The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 49 BISSCHOP, Joseph Charles WWII Joseph was born in 1923 in the Sheho District. He worked in Goudie, SK in the coal dock shoveling coal for the C.P.R. engines before he enlisted with the Regina Rifles. He served in Holland, Belgium, Italy, England and Germany during the Second World War until his discharge with the rank of Private. Joseph was killed after the war by a mine that exploded. BISSCHOP, Norbert Maurice WWII Norbert was born in the Sheho District. He enlisted with the Canadian Army in December of 1943 and served with the Armored Corps in Canada during the Second World War until his discharge on April 15, 1946 with the rank of TPR. He married Ann Kolodziejski and they have one son, Joe. He worked as a mechanic in Foam Lake until 1955 when the family moved to Yorkton. In 1976, he operated Skyline Texaco for fifteen years until his retirement in 1990. Norbert passed away on February 23, 1994. BJORE, Benjamin WWII Benjamin served in Canada during the Second World War. He joined the Sheho Legion Branch on April 29, 1958 and served for twelve years. He passed away in 1970.
