The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 43 BEAULIEU, Pierre WWI Pierre was born in 1891 in St Jean de Dieu, QC. He moved to Arborfield, SK in 1912 to homestead. He enlisted in the Army at the start of the First World War and served overseas until his discharge. After the War, he returned to the homestead, married and raised a family of nine children. Pierre and his wife retired in Zenon Park, SK. Pierre passed away in 1968. BEREZOESKI, John W. WWII John was born in the Sheho area. He enlisted with the First Light Anti-Aircraft Battery on September 27, 1939. He served during the Second World War in Italy, France, Holland and Germany until his discharge as a Sergeant Major. After his discharge, he returned to Sheho and farmed for a few years; he sold the farm and was employed with the Saskatchewan Government as a Medical Health Officer. When he returned to Sheho he joined the Foam Lake Legion Branch and was one of the members involved in forming the Sheho Legion Branch 356. John passed away in 1968. BERNATCHEZ, Octave WWI Octave was born in 1895 in Mont St Pierre, QC. He enlisted with the Army during the First World War and served overseas. He moved with his parents in 1919 to the Zenon Park area. He filed for his own homestead in 1921 and built his home. Octave passed away in 1980.
