He served during the Second World War as Corporal with the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps from 1941 to 1945. WELLS, George N. George was born on July 28, 1942. He served as Chief Petty Officer with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1961 until 1995. He grew up in Nipawin and now resides in Nova Scotia. WHEATLEY, Anne Elizabeth “Beth” WWII Beth was born in July of 1925 in Semans, SK. She joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corps during the Second World War in 1942 and served in Canada as a Corporal. She was married after the war ended to Roy Edkins, a farmer living in Clearwater, MB and they raised two sons. Beth passed away in June of 2002.
