The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 411 UDAHL, Robert E. “Bob” RCMP Bob was born on February 1, 1930. He served from 1951 to 1986 as Sergeant with the RCMP. ULVICK, Lloyd Vern WWII Lloyd served during the Second World War in the First Canadian Army Troop Workshop of the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from October of 1941 until February of 1946. UZELMAN, Peter WWII Peter was born on March 10, 1919 in Revenue, SK. He was the son of Anton Uzelman who homesteaded northwest of Revenue. Peter was killed in action on December 23, 1944 while serving with #582 Pathfinder Squadron, British Royal Air Force. The Lancaster PB120 was attacked and set ablaze by enemy fighters then further hit by flak during an operation to the Gremberg Railyards at Cologne. The aircraft crashed in the Rodenkirchen District of Cologne onto No. 77 Hauptstrasse. Five crewmen died including Peter; the two surviving crewmen were arrested by the German Youth Movement and later handed over to the Luftwaffe where they were eventually transported to solitary in Dulag (Frankfurt). From there, the prisoners of war took a freight train across Germany through Berlin up to Barth-Stalag Luft 1. He is buried at Rheinberg War Cemetery, Kamp Lintfort, NordrheinWestfal, Germany (north of Duisberg).
