The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 373 STARK, William H. “Bill” WWII William served during the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps as a Private from July 6, 1944 to January 3, 1947. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal. STEEDSMAN, Lloyd Allan WWII Lloyd was born in Foam Lake, SK in 1921. He enlisted in the Army and served in England during the Second World War. He married a lady in England and farmed when he returned. He loved the outdoors and worked with the D.N.R. in National Parks in various departments. He had seven children. Lloyd was a member of the Smeaton Legion Branch 319 for many years before he passed away in 1998. STENSRUD, Canute “Mike” WWII Mike was born on June 25, 1921. He started with the Lake Superior Regiment in England after joining up in 1942 during the Second World War. In the spring of 1944, he transferred to the Royal Canadian Engineers 2nd Corps, a Maritime outfit, and served with them as a Sapper in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany until the end of the war.
