The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 359 SHUH, David Lyle “Bob” WWII Bob was a Stoker during the Second World War on the Trois Rivieres with the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve. He served from 1943 to 1945. SHULTS, Russell Herman WWII Russell was born in 1919. He served during the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Air Force as Leading Craftsman Aero Engine Mechanic. His Bolingbroke aircraft crashed during a test flight into the Qu’Appelle Valley west of Lumsden. He is buried at Ravine Bank Cemetery near Nipawin. He passed away on December 14, 1942. SIMPSON, Charles Calder WWI & WWII Charles was born in 1892 in Aberdeen, Scotland. He moved to Alberta in 1911 and then Tate, SK. He served as a Private with the 1st Saskatchewan Depot Battalion in Siberia during the First World War until his discharge on June 27, 1919. He also served during the Second World War as a Sergeant with the Royal Canadian Air Force from November 7, 1941 and was honourably released and transferred to the Reserve, General Section, Class E on April 6, 1946. After the First World War he moved to Semans, SK in 1920 and then to Saskatoon in 1954. He was a Life Member of the Masonic Grand Tuscan Lodge 81 of Saskatchewan. He was also a Life Member of Semans Legion Branch 108. He received the Long Service Medal of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and others. He celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary on December 10, 1965. Charles passed away in 1984.
