The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 357 SHEMROCK, Edward Frank WWI & WWII Edward was born in 1900. He served during the First World War as a Private in the 229th Overseas Battalion, Command Canadian Expeditionary Force from 1916 to 1918. He enlisted in Moose Jaw on May 26, 1916. He also he served during the Second World War as a Corporal in the Veterans Guard of Canada from 1940 to 1946. He passed away in 1985. SHEMROCK, Joseph Edward WWII Joseph served as a Gunner in the 13th Field Regiment 3rd Division of the Royal Canadian Artillery from 1940 to 1945 in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany during the Second World War. SHERLOCK, George Thomas WWII George was born on June 14, 1921 in Harptree, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War in early 1943 and completed his training and flight school in Regina and Dauphin, MB. George was stationed in England with Bomber Command #432 Squadron in late 1943. He achieved the rank of Flight Lieutenant and completed his tour of 34 missions over enemy territory on March 25, 1945. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross that year. George was then assigned to Pathfinders Squadron 405. After the war, George and his wife relocated to Davidson where he farmed until his death in 1987. George was a member of Davidson Legion Branch 51 for more than forty years before he passed away.
