He enlisted in the Regina Rifle Regiment of the Canadian Army on July 20, 1944. He served as a Rifleman in Canada, England and Belgium, and with the 4th Battalion Occupation Army in Germany during the Second World War. He was discharged on August 22, 1946. Ross was a member of the Rocanville Legion Branch 20. He passed away in 2012. ARNOTT, Russell WWI Russell was born on March 31, 1899 in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. The family moved back to Canada in 1906. During the First World War, he enlisted in the 152nd Battalion in Weyburn, SK and was transferred to the 5th Battalion (Western Cavalry) once they landed in England. He was wounded just after Vimy Ridge at the battle of Arleux. He was a member of the Ceylon Legion Branch 46. Russell passed away on April 1, 1971 in Ceylon, SK. ASHLEY, Harold WWII Harold was born in 1909 in Lincoln, England. He served during the Second World War in England, Italy and Holland with the Saskatoon Light Infantry of the Canadian Army. He was a member of the TVS Legion Branch 78 for fifty-one years. He passed away in 1996.
