The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 347 SCOTT, Stewart WWII Stewart was born on August 21, 1924. He was a transport driver at Skipton-on-Swale with the #6 Bomber Group in Yorkshire, England during the Second World War. He was there from 1944 to VE Day. Upon his return to Canada on July of 1946, he took over his father’s farm and remained farming until his retirement in 1996. Stewart has been a member of the Radville Legion Branch 42 for about sixty years. SCOTT, Trevor James RCMP Trevor graduated from the RCMP Training Academy on November 15, 2004. SCOTT, William Henry “Bill” WWI & WWII Bill was born in 1889. After spending some years as a lumberjack in his birthplace of Ontario, Bill moved to the Nipawin area in 1917 and filed on a homestead north and east of Codette. At that time he also worked with a surveying outfit until joining the Navy in 1915. During the war, he served on a minesweeper as a gunlayer and was demobbed in 1919. He was active in the Veterans Guard during the Second World War after which he farmed north of White Fox and passed away in 1961. He is buried in the Veterans Plot at the Nipawin Cemetery. He and his wife Gertie were active members of The Legion.
