The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 313 PRUDEN, Malcolm Malcolm served with the Canadian Army. He passed away on December 23, 1947. PURDUE, Albert Bernard WWI & WWII Albert was born on July 31, 1894 to Arthur Wellington and Martha Ann Purdue in Newbury, England. In 1911, Albert decided to follow his older brothers to Canada. He boarded a ship called the Royal Edward and arrived in Port Huron, Michigan in March of 1911. From there, he travelled north and ended up in Winnipeg. Three years after arriving in Canada, the First World War began in 1914. In 1916, Albert signed up with the Canadian Army in Winnipeg. After joining, he was sent overseas to the Calvary on the front lines. When the war ended, Albert returned to Canada to the Raymore area where two of his brothers were farming. He remained in the Raymore area until the Second World War started and he rejoined the Canadian Army, working on rifle repair. After the Second World War, he returned to the Raymore area and became a line man for the Raymore Rural Telephone company. He held this job for a number of years until he moved to Regina. He was a member of the Raymore Legion Branch before he passed away in 1973. PYNE, Bruce Campbell WWII Bruce served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps as Sergeant from 1940 to 1945 during the Second World War.
