He was gassed and suffered temporary blindness, after which he was transferred back to England and then to Canada. He passed away on May 1, 1988. POCOCK, James Arnold WWII James was born on September 30, 1911. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force as an LAC Radio Mechanic from 1940 to 1945 during the Second World War. James passed away on January 1, 1996. POMEROY, Gordon Henry WWII Gordon was born in 1907. He served with the Canadian Armoured Regiment as a Trooper from 1941 to 1946. For his service during the Second World War, he was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, France and Germany Star and the Defence Medal.
