The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 279 MUNDELL, Thomas Roy WWII Thomas was born in 1920. He served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps as a Private during the Second World War. He passed away in 2004. MURRAY, Harold WWII Harold was born on April 8, 1918 in Regina, SK. After joining the Navy and completing basic training at Cornwallis, he was stationed onboard HMCS Goderich out of Halifax during the Second World War. He was released on August 29, 1945. He returned to Regina and married Joyce and raised two sons, Richard and Gordon. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the Atlantic Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 1939-45. Harold passed away on November 11, 1995. MURRAY, James WWI James was born in Bowden, England on March 10, 1878. He immigrated to Canada with his wife Ellen and their children, settling in Lumsden, SK. He joined the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on March 10, 1915 during the First World War. James was killed in action on September 20, 1916 at the Somme, France and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial. He received the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
