He served as a Corporal in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police from January of 1969 to April of 1990. MOONEY, J. Vernon WWII Vern served as a Corporal in the Royal Canadian Air Force from August of 1942 to January of 1946 during the Second World War. MOONEY, Lorne R. KOREA Lorne was born in 1927. He served as a Gunner with the R.C.H.A. He was killed on February 6, 1951 in a jeep accident while serving in Korea. Mooney Lake was named after him.
