The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 267 MITCHELL, Carl Michael WWI Carl was born on August 30, 1892. He joined the 5th Canadian Battalion and served as Lance Corporal from 1917 to 1919 during the First World War. He passed away in September of 1980. MITCHELL, James WWII James enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1941 and served until 1946. He was a motorcycle dispatch rider and delivered the victory dispatch to the front line troops, marking the end of German Occupation in Holland. He returned to Holland in 1995 for the 50th anniversary of liberation day. He was a Legion member all his life and was extremely generous to support all projects. He established a High School Scholarship Award for two students - one boy and one girl, $1 000 each, and upon his passing in 2010, enlarged it so it will continue for many years to come. MOCHORUK, Michael Michael was born on July 5, 1915. He served in the Canadian Army. Michael passed away on June 12, 2001.
