The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 255 McLACHLAN (AZEVEDO), Joyce E. WWII Joyce joined the W.R.C.N.S. and served aboard HMCS Conestoga Halifax during the Second World War. McLAUGHLIN, Robert WWII Robert was born in 1922 in Outlook, SK. He served during the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Battle of the Atlantic on the High Seas onboard HMCS Athabaska, which was torpedoed. He was badly wounded by flying metal debris and was therefore sent home to recover. Robert was a member of the Red Deer, AB Legion before he passed away in 1982. McLAUGHLIN, Russell WWI Russell was born in 1892 in Conquest, SK. He served in the First World War at the Battle of Vimy Ridge as an Infantry Man in the trenches where he was wounded by mustard gas and shrapnel and was sent home to recover. He was a member of the Chilliwack Legion Branch from 1959 until his death in 1972.
