WWI William enlisted with the C.E.F. 45th Battalion in Brandon, MB in 1915 and served in France during the First World War. He served as a Sergeant from March 1, 1915 to May 19, 1919. He homesteaded in the Forest Trail District east of Nipawin in 1923. William passed away on February 15, 1949. KOELLMEL, Philip “Kelly” WWII Philip, Kelly as he was known for most of his life, was born on December 31, 1918 in Regina, SK. He enlisted in the Navy and served with the Frigate or Convoy during the Second World War. He loved golf and loved instructing anyone who showed an interest. He also loved to entertain by telling jokes and recalling funny stories. He and his wife lived in Regina, SK; Victoria, BC; Kelowna, BC; Swift Current, SK and Regina Beach. He was married to Marie Scott for sixty years. They had four children: Jerry Lee, Leslie, Cal and Duncan. He passed away on March 3, 2008. He is survived by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. KOFFSKI, Jim WWII Jim was a Corporal with the R.C.A.F. and served with them from 1940 until 1945 during the Second World War. He is currently living in Kelowna, BC.
