The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 183 KELLS, George Archibald Ross WWII George was born in July of 1905 in Tate, SK. He was the first baby born on the Ross Homestead. He served on Active Service with the Royal Canadian Air Force from April of 1941 and was discharged in 1945 under K.R. (Air) 195 (17) after completing a term of voluntary service during the Second World War, spending time in England. He was transferred to the R.C.A.F. (Reserve). His medals include the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He was married to Catherine Henshilwood and they had two children, Donelda Jean and Debra Ann. Ross, Catherine and Deb moved to Ontario in 1958 where he worked as a pipe fitter in Napanee, Renfrew and Haley Station. KELLS, William Wilson “Will” WWI Will was born in Lindsay, ON in 1890. He enlisted in the Army and served with the 77th Battery C.F.A. during the First World War. When he was discharged, he returned and farmed his homestead a quarter-section west of Semans, SK. He remained a bachelor. He never spoke of his enlistment, training or any aspect of it but his hat and uniform hung in his bedroom with pride and in view. Will was a member of the Semans Legion Branch 108 before he passed away in 1974. KELSEY, Clifford Thomas WWII Clifford was born on July 24, 1925. He served as a Signalman with the R.C.N.V.R. from 1943 to 1945 during the Second World War.
