The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 179 KALK, Bert WWII Bert was born in 1920. He served as a Private with the Canadian Infantry from July 30, 1941 to February 13, 1946 during the Second World War. KALK, Brent Brent was born on November 6, 1966. He served as a marine engineering artificer with the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve after enlisting on June 20, 1987. He has attained the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class. He has been awarded the S.W.A.S.M., S.S.M., C.P.S.M., N.A.T.O. and C.D. KEEPING, Arthur Thomas WWII Arthur was born in 1924. He served with the #424 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Pilot Officer and Air Gunner from 1941 to 1944 during the Second World War. He was killed in action on November 2, 1944 over Stuttgart, Germany at age twenty. He is buried in Reichswald forest war cemetery near Kleve, Germany. He was the son of Sidney and Winnifred Keeping of Codette, SK. Keeping Lake in northern Saskatchewan was named in his honour on March 4, 1954.
