The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 149 HICKLEY, Stanley George WWI Stanley was born in Southampton, England in February of 1894. He emigrated to Yellow Grass, SK in 1910 and homesteaded at Ravine Bank, Meteor. He fought with the 13th Royal Canadian Highlanders in Belgium from March of 1915 to November of 1918 during the First World War. He was gassed and wounded at Vimy Ridge. Stanley passed away in September of 1980 and is interred in the Nipawin Veterans’ Plot. HINDMARCH, Alfred Douglas “Doug” WWII Alfred was born on May 3, 1914. He served in the Italian campaign as a Signalman with the Signal Corps, Three Rivers Regiment from 1940 until 1945 during the Second World War. Alfred passed away in April of 1985. HINDMARCH, Ralph WWII Ralph was born on August 4, 1923. He Trained at Dundurn, Borden and Petawawa before serving as a Private in the Second World War with the Princess Patricia’s Light Infantry. Ralph passed away on August 10, 1993.
