The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 119 GEORGET, Micheal SPECIAL DUTY AREA Micheal was born in Wakaw, SK on November 5, 1967. He joined the Army and served with the 1 R.C.H.A. in Canada, Norway and Germany. He has been a Legion member for eight years. GLAZIER, Marvel Marilyn WWII Marvel was born in 1924. She served in the general office in Ottawa with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps from 1941 to 1946 during the Second World War as a Lieutenant. GOODWIN, John Robert “Bob” “JR” WWII Bob was born on October 13, 1903 in Cambridgeshire, England. He immigrated to Canada in 1921 in the Kutawa District. In 1929, Bob rented a building in Punnichy where he worked at repairing cars and tractors, as well as doing tinsmithing. In 1930, he moved to Semans and started a blacksmith shop. On October 17, 1934, Bob married Edith Mutter and three daughters and a son were born to them: Marina, Paulin, Roberta and Robert. Bob joined the R.C.A.F. and served in England. When he returned from overseas at the end of the Second World War, he established a mechanics business in Semans. In 1966, they moved to Calgary and returned to Semans for a short period of time before his death in 1984. He was a member of the Semans Legion Branch 108 for twenty-one years.
