The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 107 CURISTON, William John WWI William was born in 1879 in Stormont Dundas, ON. He joined the Army with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry of the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force and served as a Lance Corporal during the First World War. He was killed in action on May 8, 1915 in Ypres, Belgium. CURRIE, Basil WWII Basil was born in 1921. He was a member of the Regina Rifles and served in France during the Second World War. He was on the DDay Landing along with Dan Yeo and Chester Rutherford. He came home and worked for R. Ampson Company after the war. He married and had three sons and one daughter. CURRIE, Donald Ross WWII Donald was born in 1905 in Bala, ON. He served in Winnipeg, MB as a flight mechanic to the Air Vice Marshall with the #8 Repair Department of the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. He was a member of the Paynton Legion Branch for twenty years. Donald passed away in 1988.
