The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 73 CODE, Walter “Walt” WWII Walt was born in 1915 in Eston, Saskatchewan, the eldest of seven sons of Malcolm and Grace Code to join the Army. From 1944, he trained in the Tank Corps at Camp Borden, Ontario and was later transferred to Nova Scotia. Walt served only in Canada for the duration of the war. He died in 1999. COLLINGRIDGE, William “Bill” WWII Bill was born in Manitoba in 1906. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in Canada from 1942-46. He came to Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1947. Bill married, had 14 children, and was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for thirty-nine years. He died in 1985 and is buried in Quill Lake Cemetery. COLLINS, Dinsmore WWII Dinsmore was born in Northern Ireland in 1911 and came to Clair, Saskatchewan in 1927. He joined the South Saskatchewan Regiment and served in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany from 1940-46. Dinsmore married and had two children. He was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for thirty-seven years. Dinsmore died in 1983 and is buried in the Scrip Cemetery, north of Clair.
