The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 63 CARR, Harry Isaac WWI Harry was born on March 4, 1890 in Northumberland, Ontario. He joined the Canadian Expeditionary Forces on January 23, 1918 and served with the No. 3 1st Depot Battalion, E. O. Regiment, during WWI. He was wounded on the march through France just before Versailles, returned to active duty, and was discharged on demobilization. He met his future bride while in a British hospital and after the war, Annie Jones Greenwood came to Canada, traveled by train to Saskatoon where they were married. Harry and Annie raised six children on a farm between Unity and Cut Knife. They retired and moved to Cut Knife where they resided until their passing. Harry passed away on February 8, 1975. CARR, James WWII James was born in Clair, Saskatchewan in 1909. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in Canada from 1941-1945 as a Flight Lieutenant and Instructor. He married and had three children. James retired in Vancouver, British Columbia and passed away in 1999. He is buried in New Westminster. CHEESEMAN, Gregory PEACETIME Gregory was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1964. He joined the Army and served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in Germany and Yugoslavia. He has lived in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan and still serves in the Army. Gregory has been a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for eighteen years.
