The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 57 BROWN, Gordon WWI Gordon was born in the United States in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin on April 23, 1899 and he came to Canada at the age of two. He served during World War I. Gordon passed away on April 20, 1992. BROWN, Gordon Charles WWI Gordon enlisted on March 17, 1916 with the original 229th South Saskatchewan Regiment. He was transferred to the Field Unit overseas and served as a Private with the 46th Canadian Infantry Battalion before being discharged on January 7, 1919. Gordon has been a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion for over sixty years and was also a Past President. BROWN, John C. WWII John was born in England in 1914 and came to Canada in 1919. He served with the Canadian Scottish Regiment in Canada, England, France, Belgium and Holland during World War II. John married, had four children, and lives in Prince George, British Columbia.
