BLIXRUD, Albert WWII Albert was born in North Dakota, USA on November 22, 1913. He joined the Army and served in Belgium during WWII. Lance Corporal Blixrud was killed in action in Belgium on September 17, 1944. BLIXRUD, Norman WWII Norman was born in Homestead on October 10, 1918. During World War II, he served in the Army in England. Norman was a member of North Battleford Legion Branch 70 before he died on March 8, 2004. BLIXRUD, William “Bill” WWII Bill was born in Homestead on February 20, 1917. He joined the Army and served in Belgium during World War II. Bill passed away on April 5, 2006. DAVIDNER, Herschel “Jack” WWII Jack was born in 1926 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He joined the Army and served in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Jack passed away in 2013. DAVIES, Cecil D. WWII Cecil was born in 1920 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire, England. He joined the Air Force and was stationed in England with the Pathfinders Squadron during World War II. Cecil was killed on active service in June 1943. DILL, John W. PEACETIME John was born on June 1, 1948 in Seaforth, ON. He served as Petty Officer in the Navy from January 7, 1965 until September 20, 1990. John was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration. He married and had a daughter. EWAN, John WWII John was born in Asquith, SK in September 1919. He farmed until he joined the Air Force to fight in WWII. John had a wife and small son when he was killed in action in 1944. GREY, Evard F. WWII Evard was born in Clair, SK in 1925. He served with the 8th Reconnaissance Regiment, 14th Canadian Hussars in Canada from 1940-1941 when he was discharged because he was only 15 years old. Evard later married and had two children. GUNSTONE, George WWII George came to Quill Lake, SK in 1929 from Wales as a farm labourer sent by a church group. He served in Canada as a physical instructor during WWII. George passed away and is buried in Ontario. JOHNSON, Richard WWI Richard was born in Inverness, Scotland in 1902. He served as a Private with the 214th Battalion in Canada, England, and France where he was wounded at Vimy Ridge. Richard never married. He died in 1958. MARLATTE, Albert R. WWII Albert was born in Saskatoon. He served in the RCAF in Canada fromNovember 2, 1942 to April 1, 1946. Married, Albert is a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362 and Dr. Harold Anderson Memorial Legion Branch 78. McLEOD, Myrtle R. WWII Myrtle was born on June 11, 1922 in Neoska, SK. She served as a Private in the WRENs in Canada from January 27, 1944 until January 4, 1946. Myrtle has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. PARKER, David A. PEACETIME David was born in June 1944 in London, England. He served in Canada as a gunner in the Canadian Artillery from February 1, 1967 to August 10, 1968. He has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. PATTERSON, A. L. WWII A. L. Patterson was born on October 17, 1919 at Assiniboia, SK. He served in the Navy as Petty Officer from July 14, 1937 to January 1946. He has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. PATTISON, Lawrence WWII Lawrence was born on December 14, 1924 in Saskatoon. He joined Army in 1943 and served as Craftsman in Canada until leaving the service on July 22, 1946.
