The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 451 WRIGHT, Ronald WWII Ronald was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1917. He served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in Canada, England, North Africa and Italy where he was killed in action in Ortona in 1944. Ronald is buried at Ravenna, Italy. WRIGHT, Sidney P. WWI Sidney was born in England but came to Canada and Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1908. He served with the 43rd Battalion (Manitoba regiment) in Canada, England, France, and Belgium where he was killed in action at Passchendaele in 1917. With no known grave, Sidney is commemorated at the Vimy Ridge Memorial and at Menin Gate in France. WYANT, Arthur John WWII Arthur was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1918. He joined the Army and served with the Saskatoon Light Infantry in Canada, England, Italy, Holland, and Germany during WWII. After his discharge, he moved to British Columbia. Arthur died in 1971 and he is buried in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
