He joined the Army on January 10, 1979 and served in Canada and in the Gulf War in the Middle East. He received the Canadian Forces Decoration and Bar. Peter married and became a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. WALKER, Robert PEACETIME Robert was born in Naicam, Saskatchewan in 1938. During World War II, he served in Canada as a Paratrooper, completing 29 jumps, and was also a Rifleman First Class. He married, had 2 children, and was a Life Member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for thirty-two years. Robert was Legion President twice and mayor of Quill Lake for two years. WALKER, Ruby WWII Ruby was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1926. She joined the Canadian Women’s Division of the Royal Canadian Army and served in Canada during World War II. He married, had two children, and was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for fifty-six years. She died in 2002 and is buried in Quill Lake Cemetery.
